Class Subject: History of Microsoft Windows

The first independent version of Microsoft Windows, version 1.0, was released on November 20, 1985, and achieved little initial popularity. It was not a complete operating system, but rather an "operating environment" that extended MS-DOS, sharing its inherent flaws and problems. This first version included a simple graphics painting programme called Windows Paint, Windows Write (a simple word processor), an appointment calendar, a card-filer, a notepad, a clock, a control panel, a computer terminal, Clipboard, a RAM driver, the MS-DOS Executive, and a game called Reversi!

This puzzle game may be used as teacher tools to study Windows versions in chronological order, explore different types of windows in computers, check Windows versions history, and play interactive games for primary school and older students. Pictures compiled from Microsoft.
