Did You Know?

Did you know that the famous shortcuts Ctrl+C (Copy), Ctrl+V (Paste), and Ctrl+X (Cut) were popularised by Apple and Microsoft in the 1980s? The letter 'V' for paste was chosen because 'P' was already taken by Print. More importantly, 'X', 'C', and 'V' physically sit right next to each other on the bottom row of standard QWERTY keyboards, making it incredibly fast to use them with one hand while your other hand controls the mouse!

How to play Hotkeys Tree

Like most Planeta 42 browser-based educational games for kids and students, there are 18 stylized pictures representing different hotkeys at the top of the screen. Drag the small round pictures and drop them over the appropriate colour and peripheral symbols on the tree of knowledge in the middle. The pictures will snap into place when arranged correctly. Take your time, memorize the combinations, and become a power user while earning a Knowledge Level!
