An emoticon, short for "emotion icon", is a pictorial representation of a facial expression using keyboard characters to express feelings. Early emoticons were the precursors to modern emojis! The first ASCII emoticons, :-) and :-(, were written by Scott Fahlman in 1982, but emoticons actually originated on the PLATO IV computer system way back in 1972.
How to play Emoticons Match
The game will generate 24 random cards featuring different text emoticons, where every two cards are exactly the same. Like all matching pairs games, you must open all identical cards one after another to remove them from play. If you open one emoticon card, try to remember its position and open the same expression next to clear the pair from the table.
