Class Subject: Computer Tower Case

• What exactly is a computer tower case?
A simple tower case is the metal and plastic chassis where all the computer hardware securely resides. It holds everything together and protects the delicate internal components from dust, physical damage, and electrical interference.

• Why is grounding so important?
It is crucial for the tower to be well grounded to prevent static electricity build-up. A sudden static shock can instantly short out and ruin sensitive components like the Mainboard or the RAM!

• How does power get distributed inside?
The thick cables from the Power Supply Unit (PSU) plug directly into the CD/DVD drives, floppy drives, hard drives, and the Mainboard. The Mainboard then acts as a central hub, safely distributing power to the RAM, video card, audio card, and LAN cards (network adapters).
