World Silver Production is a free educational knowledge level game to explore global silver mining. In this interactive world map game, you must identify and mine for silver in the top-producing countries to reach the goal of 21 thousand tonnes per year. This metallic resource exercise is highly suitable for online lessons, interactive geography classes, and engaging homework assignments regarding global trade and economic geology.
What is Silver?
Silver is a chemical element with the symbol Ag and atomic number 47. A soft, white, lustrous transition metal, it exhibits the highest electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and reflectivity of any metal. Silver is found in the Earth's crust in its pure, free elemental form ("native silver"), as an alloy with gold and other metals, and in minerals such as argentite and chlorargyrite. As a vital economic resource, its geographic distribution across Mexico, Peru, and China makes it a key topic in global mineral studies.
How to play World Silver Production
The game screen features a world map and 20 drills at the top right. Click on different regions of the map to discover their annual silver production in tonnes. Every click consumes one drill. Your mission is to collect a total of 21,000 tonnes of silver per year before you run out of tools. Some regions yield zero silver to increase the challenge, so study the production statistics carefully to succeed!
